Gilmorton - Cyclist Friendly Coffee Shop
We have received the following email from David Plimmer who has recently opened a coffee shop in Gilmorton. It is situated on Main Street directly opposite the Village Hall that we use as the HQ for some of our events.
It sounds as though it is well worth bearing in mind for a visit.
--------------------------------------------------------
My wife and I have owned Gilmorton Village Store for several years and have recently converted part of the building into a coffee shop.
We're very keen to welcome cyclists to our premises, offering secure bike storage and both indoor and outdoor seating.
Being on a very popular cycling route we're already seeing a regular customer base of cyclists building up as we seem to tick all of the necessary boxes - good quality coffees, home made cakes, sandwiches and a selection of hot food. All at a very reasonable cost (coffee and cake £2.95 or tea and toast basket £2.50 for example).
We're not the largest of shops, able to cater for 15-20 people at a time. However with prior notice we would be able to offer additional outdoor seating to accomodate a larger club run or group.
Coffee shop opening hours are 10:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 - 15:00 on Saturday. For groups of 5 or more we can usually open on a Sunday by appointment (48 hours notice is ideal if possible).
Our premises are located in the centre of the village, the address being:
